Hey, Mark-  I’m sorry, I ve been out of the loop here again.  I am gone a few days, and Wham!  You are in a crisis and there is this wave of support building without me.  I’m sorry it’s taken me so long to get on this.

This whole situation you are in is just plain unacceptable. Do you hear me???? NOT acceptable. At all. 

Up here in the wilds and woodlands of the north, we are cold, wet, and fearless. We’re tough up here in order to survive.  You are tough, too.  You are a nurse. You know what that means. You have taken care of everyone else. Your patients, your family, your friends, your harem.  Now, you need to take care of yourself. Because we love you and we said so.

I’ve got no sense of humor here. Just sending along love, hugs, a strong back for you, and lots and lots of good thoughts.

Wanted to let you know I was thinking about you, better late than never, but you know, it took be a day to figure out that I had log OUT of my wordpress account before I could log IN as you. Tricky stuff there here in ter nets.

I was feeling so bad for you that decided to try to experience your pain, so I went out side and stood in 3 feet of snow for an hour pulling snow of my roof. Honestly, I didn’t really think of you until about 20 minutes into the experience when my feet and lets were so cold that sharp numbing paid set in.

Alas my mean old wife wouldn’t give me any good drugs.

Seriously sir, I hope you’re feeling better and I’m certainly thinking of you. Stay upbeat keep your loyal fans updated.

As un-helpful as the advice/words of wisdom of a 16 year old chick would be to someone much smarter and wiser such as yourself, I will offer mine anyway.

I simply want to let you know that all of us, including myself, go through these rough times, and like you said, you’re not alone. Really, you’ve got so many people here that simply adore your personality, writing, and the amazing things you do, and we’re all here to support you through any rough patches you experience.

You’re a fantastic fellow, and as the youngest member of the harem, I totally look up to you.

I’ve been sitting in my living room staring up at the ceiling fan for awhile, trying to figure out what I want to say.  I keep coming up blank – my thoughts are so jumbled.  I think mostly I am concerned for your well-being and hope these symptoms are not as serious as you fear.  You have many friends here to support you.  I hope it is easy for you to remember that in your hardest moments.  Warmly, FL  🙂

2011

Hi Mark, I wish I could think of something clever, witty or hilarious to write or post to cheer you up.  But I can’t.  I dislike doctors, hospitals, operations and procedures of all kinds and don’t want you to have to go through any more.

But what I will say is that if 2010 is ending on a note of alarm, I believe that 2011 will see you getting better and making progress despite the current anxiety.

You are too important and precious to too many people to be out of circulation for long: we’ll see the Idiot up and at’em very soon and having a fabulous 2011.  We all love you, support you, wish you well and send you positive waves.

And I am sure you will not be short of offers to help give you bed baths and physical therapy!!!!!  😉

Freeze the pain!

Hey Mark…

Come to Canada.  We’ll go watch a hockey game, skate on the frozen lake, make some snow angels, and FREEZE the PAIN in your leg and spine.

If that doesn’t work, we’ll just put you in an ice tub (formerly my swimming pool) and pour large glasses of red wine.  The pain may or may not go away, but after a few hours of these activities, I guarantee a smile on your face.
